Vela Ensemble

Based in Houston, Vela Ensemble is a new chamber collective comprising some of the city’s most prominent musicians: Tori Yaussy, Emily Moscoso, Maiko Sasaki, Deborah Rathke Harvey, and Haley Houk. Dedicated to evolving the wind chamber tradition, the group breathes new life into the repertoire by pairing quintessential masterpieces with lesser-known works through flexible instrumentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
